tool 6

WIKI is a useful tool so kids can openly share their ideas. If there is a book club WIKI, any student can add the books they are reading then add comments about their books. It is open for everyone to read. The post does not have to be checked before published. The kids can "invite " friends to join. Lots more freedom than a blog. Kids will love it

Tool 5

I discovered 2 web sites for science. It will be great to visit other web sites. one is http://www.gamequarium.com/ and http://www.sciencequest.com/. The delicious is going to be great to research other sites. Diigo is another social networking system that you can share sites.

tool 4

We were able to add each others blogs. Now we do not have to start over; we can just toggle back and forth The form is very flexible. You can make a test and discuss with other teachers. The form can be assigned as homework. It is then sent to the students.where they can answer as homework. Their answer comes back in a spread sheet. This will be a very useful tool to share science documents

tool 3

It wa fun making a work collage about my favorite place.... GALVESTON. I can see how the students can pick their favorite topic and enter all their science words. What a great way to introduce science vocabulary. The kids will love it. We can't wait to start. They could have a contest to see who has the longest words.

tool 3

this is wordle about galveston! I can see how this will be so useful in the classroom. The students can use science words that relate to their unit of study. Vocabulary is a major part of our curriculum. This will be such a fun way to learn and apply new words. Wordle rocks!

Professional Learning Community:
Having a plan is of great benefit to teachers wanting to expand their knowledge base,
I find that when I have a group to share with, I learn new and exciting ideas. I can be a better teacher.

Commenting:
I loved what cool cat teacher has to say about Commenting . Relevant comments that are personal to the blogger is helpful.
I love seeing what the other 5th grade teachers blog about their curriculum. How great this will be to see what other elemnetary schools are doing in science. The students can share what they are learning as well. Every fifth grade teacher at Bunker Hill has their own blog.Pretty cool!

My 5 blogs are;

Journal That BHE
The Book Nook
Math Rules at BHE
